Jukebox musicals are like when you get way too high in the backseat of your younger brother’s car cause yours is at the shop and you put the radio on and hallucinate for two hours. These licensed rights nightmares are a soundscape of flipping through radios and visuals that look like what cartoons dream of. Despite not having an original thought possessed in the entire film, some jukebox musicals turn out astounding, despite basically being the equivalent of a bunch of famous cinema stars singing along to a mixtape their brother’s friend made for them on the trip to the beach.
