Vintage Rock Bands That Just Refuse To Die

And we're kinda glad, actually

Artists today need to stay relevant by releasing new music regularly so people don't forget about them. But it wasn't always like that. Bands could stay relevant by releasing some really good songs that would mark generations. And being on the radio from time to time would help too, of course, but who listens to the radio anymore?

There are rock bands that revolutionized genres forever, and others that left their mark with only a couple of extremely good albums. But others just refuse to die and keep releasing new music and touring around the world way past their 60s and 70s. Icons that really don't need to keep going because they already gave us so much, but they do it for the love of the game. And maybe the money, but mostly the love of the game.

Here are some classic rock bands that just refuse to die, even when the odds are clearly not in their favor.

Yes

The progressive rock band continues to blow people's minds to this day.

U2

While they're not as relevant as they once were, the Irish band is still around.

The Beach Boys

Despite legal battles and the death of some band members, the remaining ones are keeping The Beach Boys alive in 2025.

The Who

They endured the tragic deaths of band members, but are still touring around the world.

Scorpions

Still rocking like a hurricane.

The Rolling Stones

The Mick Jagger and Keith Richards duo is still going strong. The death of Charlie Watts put them on hold, but they're still doing public appearances.

Mötley Crüe

Still singing Girls, Girls, Girls like they're young.

Judas Priest

The band will stay alive as long as Rob Halford walks this earth.

Iron Maiden

With Steve Harris as the core of the band, Iron Maiden changed formations a couple of times, but they're still releasing new material.

Guns N Roses

They took their time with Chinese Democracy, and Axl was left alone for over a decade, but the core members are back and touring all over the world.

Genesis

They dissolved and reformed multiple times, but Genesis can't die.

The Eagles

Hell froze over, and they reunited after breaking up.

Def Leppard

Some iconic bands aren't meant to die.

Chicago

They refuse to stay still and are touring all over the world.

Aerosmith

Aerosmith is currently on its Farewell Tour, but something tells us they're not gone just yet.

AC/DC

AC/DC had to deal with tragic deaths in the family, but they kept going and are still touring. They could even release a new album, and it would make sense for them.

Journey

They didn't stop believing.

Jefferson Airplane

Only a few original members are still alive, so the band doesn't exist anymore. However, they reformed and changed their name a couple of times because they refused to die.

Deep Purple

Still touring and releasing new music to this day.

ZZ Top

The best to ever do it.
