Toymaker Backpedals On Gross-Out Randy Marsh Doll

They may be trying to show some tegridy

The South Park franchise sure has spawned a ton of useless merchandise over the years, from T-shirts, to Cartman-shaped coffee mugs, to talking plush pieces of poop.

And, as we’ve mentioned before, Stan’s dad Randy Marsh has inspired countless branded knick-knacks, including a cardboard cutout/new best friend.

So it’s perhaps no surprise that the collectible toy company Youtooz recently announced a new Randy March vinyl figure. But what is surprising is that the product was so gross that they seemingly ended up scrapping the idea altogether.

The retailer already has a number of different South Park products for sale, including a line of plushies, a Cartman night light and a figure immortalizing Randy’s time at Tegridy Farms.

Recently, the company posted a design on social media for an “Ectoplasm Randy” toy, depicting the Marsh patriarch covered in jizz. Some fans were clearly shocked, questioning “Who in their right mind is buying the ‘Randy covered in cum’ collectible figurine?”  On the other hand, some South Park devotees were clearly interested in purchasing the X-rated toy as soon as humanly possible. Regardless, it wasn’t long before the company deleted the post.

The apparently canceled figure would have replicated a scene from South Park Season 12’s “Over Logging,” in which the Marshes are forced to relocate to an “internet refugee camp” after South Park loses all access to the information superhighway. While residents are only allowed a fraction of computer time each day (if any) Randy sneaks out of bed one night to steal a private run-in with the paranormal.

After pleasuring himself to various fetish videos, Randy is discovered by guards, and he attempts to blame the mess he’s created on a “spooky ghost.”

The scene subsequently became a popular meme – which could explain why Youtooz wanted to turn it into a toy. Their website notes that they “create high-quality collectibles for the heroes and role models of the internet.” The idea that a post-jerkoff session Randy should be considered a “hero” is questionable, but the image has certainly popped up on the internet quite a lot.

It remains to be seen whether or not the toy will ever see the light of day. But if it is indeed canceled, the company should probably expect some Randy superfans to point out that they thought this was ‘merica.
