This Oscar-Winning Actor Has A Secret Rage Bait TikTok Account

Fame and fortune sometimes brings a fair amount of frivolity. How celebrities spend their free time depends on a number of factors including how much they like being famous and how well-adjusted they are. Some people hang out at race tracks and on yachts. Some are never really free, because every trip and outing is sponsored. Some people have a lot of children. 

But for Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, she spends at least a little bit of her frivolous hours on TikTok, where she admits she runs a secret rage-bait account to get in fights with other users. For those unfamiliar with the term, “rage bait” is internet content designed specifically to evoke anger from other people online. Think of the Department of Homeland Security X account, for instance. 

In a new interview promoting her upcoming film Die My Love starring opposite Robert Pattinson, the Hunger Games star admitted: “I have like a secret life on TikTok.”

“With its own fans?” Pattinson questioned. 

“Well, I wouldn't say fans. I get in fights on Tik Tok,” Lawrence clarified. “I get in fights in the comment section. And one one one girl was like, ‘How old are you? Get a life.’”

She continued to explain that it had all started innocently enough, getting into back and forth debates about the Real Housewives and Kardashians franchises. But once she started weighing in on the British Royal Family, people got way less chill, really fast. 

“It started off with like Real Housewives just kind of like fights back and forth, Kardashians, that kind of thing. And then it got really intense when I started um commenting on the royal family,” Lawrence detailed. “A lot of people just did not know that the Mount Battens, Queen Elizabeth II is married to her first cousin. It just is. That's just a fact. They are cousins… And people were thinking that I was trashing and I'm like I'm not this is just a fact. And it was also like in the 40s it would have been normal. Anyway, that kind of started this whole, I guess, rage bait on Tik Tok.”

So, if you are out there fighting with other random TikTokers about any of the above subjects, just keep in the back of your mind that the other person behind the screen might be the woman who has been nominated for an Oscar four times and is currently on a press tour with Edward Cullen. 

I mean, that’s probably not what is happening. But now I can’t say for sure it isn’t.
