Unanswered questions really get our goat. For the most part, movies wrap up their stories in a pretty little bow, but TV shows leave us hanging more than we ever thought possible. We get that it’s harder for a series because they usually never know how many episodes they’ll get, but still! 

If we’ve followed along for years, the least they can do is answer as many questions as possible. Or if they don’t get picked up for a following season, they can at least fork over a few extra bucks for one big finale or something!

The West Wing

Mandy Hampton was White House media consultant on The West Wing. And then, suddenly, she wasn't. She just disappeared. Mandy, played by Moira Kelly, was a pivotal character during the first season. Her disappearance led fans to coin the phrase Mandyville for the destination of characters who were dropped from the series. CRACKED.COM

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman

CRACKED.COM Worst TV Finales Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. The show ended with the Kents giving Lois and Clark a baby crib, like total douches, and the crib filling itself overnight with a random baby. Apparently the baby was supposed to be from Krypton, but we never had confirmation, as the show was hastily canceled.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

In season 1 of Buffy, a substitute teacher turns out to be a predatory insect. And nobody does anything about the eggs she leaves behind. Xander's new sub turns out to be a gigantic she-mantis who mates with virginal men and kills them post-coitus. As the episode ends, we see her eggs start to hatch. CRACKED.COM

Seinfeld

Jerry and Elaine get SEASON together of in Seinfeld. the 2ND But they're not a couple any more, at the start of the 3RD. Behind the scenes, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld hated the idea of a trite will they-won't they relationship between the pair. So when the third season began they just pretended it never happened. Quantum Leap

in Quantum Leap, Sam Beckett spent his days time-hopping into other people's bodies. Dr. Sam Becket never returned home. And he never found his way home. Each episode of the series opened with a brief narration explaining that Sam hopes his next leap will take him home. In the finale, Sam somehow leaps into his own body in some kind of purgatory-like dimension that looks like a bar. It ends with a title card (with his name misspelled) saying he never got home. The Sopranos

Valery was an unkillable Russian, on The Sopranos. Yet he just disappears from the show. Christopher and Paulie smash his windpipe, yet Valery manages to bounce back and beat Paulie's ass with a shovel. Paulie puts a bullet in his head, and he scampers off into the woods and steals Christopher's car. So, where did Valery go? CRACKED.COM

Boy Meets World

On Boy Meets World, Mr. Turner was Cory's favorite teacher. Yet he disappeared from the show. In the season five finale, Mr. Turner gets in a motorcycle accident. Не never returned to the show after that, and we never find out what happened to him. CRACKED.COM

The Big Bang Theory

On The Big Bang Theory, Leonard and Stephanie live together. Then suddenly, they don't. Leonard feels the relationship is going too fast. The last we see of Stephane is when Leonard texts her suggesting she move out, and they wind up in bed together. She is never seen again. CRACKED.COM

Spider-Man: The Animated Series

In the '90s Spider-Man animated series, Mary Jane falls into a dimensional vortex. And Peter never finds her. Spider-Man finds out that MJ is actually a clone. Spidey then goes dimension-hopping to try to find the real MJ. Не jumps across realities and teams up with other Marvel heroes, including Stan Lee, for several episodes. Then the show was cancelled. Grey’s Anatomy

Dr. Erica Hahn was a breakout character on Grey's Anatomy. But in season 6, she walked out to her car and was never seen again. DE W She was an open lesbian who was involved in a romance with Dr. Torres, who previously had been noncommittal about her sexual orientation. She was dumped from the show without explanation. Smallville

Smallville is the story of Clark Kent in the leadup to his becoming Supes. The show ended without us getting to see Superman. After years of teasing viewers with t-shirts, Clark is finally given his Supes suit by his dead dad in the Fortress of Solitude. We see the crumpled suit, and we see a glimpse of the S under his shirt, but that's it. CRACKED.COM

Happy Days

On Happy Days, Richie had an older brother named Chuck. Or he did, until season 2. Chuck was away at college for much of the first season. Не didn't just disappear- he completely ceased to exist. In later seasons Howard Cunningham would claim that he had just two children. CRACKED.COM

Battlestar Gallactica

The goal of Battlestar Gallactica is to get back to Earth, somehow. The original series ends with them almost making contact. In the final scene, Apollo and Starbuck are looking for signals from Earth. They leave the observation room, and the second they do, a transmission from Neil Armstrong flickers across the monitor. All My Children

On All My Children, little Bobby went up to the attic. And was never seen again. When the show started Dr. Joe Martin was struggling to care for three children: Jeff, Tara, and Bobby. Bobby just appeared once, and then disappeared. The writers have referenced him since, though. In one episode there's a skeleton in the attic with a nametag that says Bobby. In another, Jeff refers to a plastic skeleton as my brother. CRACKED.COM

30 Rock

On 30 Rock, Liz Lemon decides to adopt a child. And then she just kinda forgets about it. At the end of season two, Liz has a pregnancy scare. As a result she spends several episodes of season three trying to adopt. But by season four, it's slipped her mind-despite it being a major story arc. CRACKED.COM

John Keeler was the president in season 4 of 24. 9:0 Then, poof, he wasn't. In one scene Keeler is injured in an aerial assault on Air Force One. Then Charles Logan is sworn in. So, Keeler died? Without a national day of mourning, a funeral, or any mention at all? CRACKED.COM

Community

On Community, Troy and Abed find out their friend Lukka is a war criminal. COMING AUGUST 5 TO A THEATRE NEAR YOU All they do is stop hanging out with him. Lukka says stuff like, I miss cleansing the fields and forests from the unclean people who stole my country. Yet he's pretty much left to roam the streets of Greendale. CRACKED.COM

Alf

GRAGKED IS ALF GOING TO BE OKAY?! ALF The Tanners protected Alf from the Alien Task Force who wanted to dissect him, but they captured him in the finale. Alf jokes about it, but it's an incredibly sad ending. Do they let him go? Does he escape? Do they experiment on him? We'll never know.

Family Matters

GRAGKED WHAT HAPPENED TO JUDY? FAMILY MATTERS The youngest Winslow child was in the first 4 seasons (95 episodes), then just disappeared with zero explanation. Where did she go? Four full seasons deserves at least a one line write-off.

The Office

GRAGKED WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO SCOTT'S TOTS? THE OFFICE SIOTTS of TO SCOTT'S TOTS Michael promised to pay for the college education of an entire class, then had to break it to them that he (of course) could not. Did they go to college anyway? Did they take those lithium batteries? A where are they now could've been pretty awesome.

My Name Is Earl

GRAGKED DID EARL EVER FINISH HIS LIST? MY NAME IS EARL The entire plot involved his list of ways he's wronged others, and his attempts to make things right with everyone, but unfortunately, the show was canceled before he got a chance to finish it.

Heroes

GRAGKED WHAT HAPPENED TO CAITLIN? HEROES Peter Petrelli returned to the present day, but he accidentally left Caitlin stranded in an alternate future. Is she alive in that timeline, or did the timeline end, killing her along with it? Her conclusion was never fully addressed.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

GRACKED WHO IS RORY'S BABY DADDY? GILMORE GIRLS: A YEAR IN THE LIFE In the 2016 reboot's finale, Rory is pregnant but we never learn who the father is. Is it Paul, Logan Huntzberger, or the Wookiee-costumed one-night stand from NYC?

The Office (Again)

GRACKED WHAT DID РАМ SAY TO MICHAEL? THE OFFICE Before Michael boards the plane to Colorado, Pam tells him something in a heartfelt goodbye. Jenna Fischer said that it was her goodbye to Steve Carell, but this documentary didn't capture Pam's goodbye to Michael.

Lost

GRAGKED WHAT'S WITH WALT'S POWERS? LOST One of the show's biggest mysteries was Walt's supernatural abilities. What exactly were they and where did they come from? Was he psychic? Не was written off the series after Season 2, and we never found out.
