50 of the Funniest Burns from the Week of July 14, 2025
Getting caught cheating on the Coldplay jumbotron is nasty work.
On Wednesday night, a cozied-up couple appeared on the Kiss Cam at Coldplay’s Boston show. “Oh, look at these two!” Chris Martin exclaimed before the man and woman each ducked for cover. “Oh, what? Either they just got caught cheating, or they’re very shy!”
It was, unfortunately, the former — and a TikTok of the moment spread across social media in the ensuing hours. It wasn’t long before the two were identified as Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot — CEO and HR chief, respectively, of A.I. company Astronomer — who are both married and with children.
Twitter’s finest got their roasts ready and reported for duty with a multitude of takes. “Why are you having an affair somewhere with a Jumbotron?” one asked, while another quipped, “Cheaters should have a deep investment in abolishing the surveillance state.”
“Worst part about this is you know it’s gonna lead to him posting on linkedin something like ‘i got caught cheating at a coldplay concert. here’s what it taught me about b2b sales,’” a third tweeter added.
Yet someone else suggested Coldplay lean further into the bit, saying the band should “out people at every concert and say that they’ve just been Coldplayed.”
But cheaters aren’t the only ones who got roasted this week. Other topics raked over the digital coals included strapless bras, the European mind and a fit for Quakers.
