Before you start blaming the editors for these mistakes, just know that they might’ve had no choice. These gaffes in the final cut might’ve honestly been the lesser of two evils. 

Maybe Julia Roberts was holding a croissant during her best take of one line, then holding a pancake during the best take of her second line. If you were the editor, would you choose a terrible, possibly unusable take simply to stick with the croissant continuity, or would you go with the gold and hope no one notices the magical pancake switcheroo?
