Scrolling through YouTube is a pretty big gamble these days. Sure, you might get an educational video essay or a helpful video game walk-through, or you might get graphically popped pimples or A.I. slop of Jesus saving a child from a burning puppy. If you’re not super careful with your algorithm — maybe you, you know, have to look up weird stuff for work — you might get honest-to-god snuff films. It’s just not worth it for the instructions for tying a tie.

Sometimes, though, you stumble upon a work of cinematic art so profound and so masterfully executed that you forget all about all that. It’s not like there’s a lot of other avenues for such short films, so they’re gonna show up right alongside the clearly staged dash-cam footage. “Just remembered about this one,” user champion_of_TheSUN told r/AskReddit. “Destino 2003 by Salvador Dalí and Walt Disney.”
