Gullible Joe Rogan Clowned on After Complaining That ICE Targets Construction Sites Instead of Drug Dealers
It turns out that the Trump administration isn’t actually waging a war on the “worst of the worst” criminals in America with their legions of undertrained, overweight ICE recruits who are currently loitering in the bike lanes in most major cities.
Ever since the Department of Homeland Security first launched the President’s mass deportation campaign, Americans have been hearing daily stories about masked, unidentified enforcers kidnapping brown-skinned, Spanish-speaking residents, legal or otherwise, usually at their ordinary, non-gang-related and economically necessary jobs. In order to meet White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller’s monthly quotas, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has put a pin in the kind of Sicario-style raids of cartel compounds on which Trump sold his deportation doctrine, choosing instead to just roam the streets picking up anyone who looks Latin enough at construction sites, car washes and body shops across the country.
Despite how the right-wing power structure promised to cripple the influence of organized crime through mass deportation, some conservatives are growing disillusioned with the White House reposting Twitter videos of a bunch of line cooks getting herded into a paddy wagon, including Donald Trump’s good friend and unofficial media minister Joe Rogan. During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the right-wing podcasting kingpin complained about how the otherwise unemployable agents of ICE are swiping everyday blue-collar workers off the street instead of single-handedly dismantling the criminal underworld like Trump promised.
Don't Miss
It’s almost like the guy who campaigned on releasing the Epstein files before personally burying them might be a liar.
It’s not surprising that Rogan is so gullible that he really thought the waves of new ICE recruits, all of whom couldn’t find a respectable job, would start their careers in border enforcement by taking out the most dangerous and resourceful criminals on the continent instead of just rolling through their neighborhood Home Depot one a week. It probably still hasn’t occurred to Rogan that the mere existence of deportation quotas means that ICE will go for the low-hanging fruit first, because a construction worker with a green card and a ruthless drug kingpin both just count as one brown body to expel from the country.
Still, Rogan has made such a habit of believing the dumbest, most racist and most-directly-inspired-by-the-Nazi-movement talking points on immigration that we need to start asking ourselves if Alpha Brain is actually a brain-eating parasite. It wasn’t that long ago when Rogan was pushing the Republican disinformation campaign to convince Americans that Democrats wanted to institute an open-border policy and use illegal immigrants to sway the 2024 general election, despite the fact that illegal immigrants are, by definition, not allowed to vote.
For a guy who spends as much time talking politics and “doing his own research” as Rogan does, it’s concerning that he still takes everything Trump tells him at face value, and that he continues to struggle to understand what’s going on in the country outside of his little comedy club. Hell, does Rogan even know the nationality of the workers who built Comedy Mothership?
