The White House Slams ‘The View’s ‘Joyless Behar’ for Standing Up for Jimmy Kimmel

Jimmy Kimmel Live! has officially returned to its late-night post, but the Trump administration still isn’t ready to squash its beef with Kimmel or his allies.

White House Spokesperson Abigail Jackson recently took aim at Joy Behar, slamming the host for denouncing President Trump and other “very weak men” during Wednesday’s episode of The View

“Per usual, Joyless Behar is wrong about many things,” Jackson said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “Joyless is probably worried about her own garbage ratings — we can’t blame her!”

Jackson also took aim at “low-ratings loser” Kimmel, claiming that ABC’s decision to suspend the late-night series had “nothing to do with free speech.”

“A private company — who is the one that decided to take his show off and put it back on — is under no obligation to lose money producing an unpopular show,” Jackson argued, noting that the comedian “has always been free to make whatever bad jokes he wants. Jimmy Kimmel’s terrible product isn’t a free speech problem; it’s a talent problem.”

Humor, of course, is subjective, but the White House official’s statements about ABC’s ratings are definitely incorrect. According to preliminary numbers from Nielsen, Kimmel’s return to air on Tuesday night brought in 6.26 million viewers, with his opening monologue garnering 20 million views on YouTube.

The View has also done well for itself, with a recent ABC press release stating the show’s 28th season, which concluded last July, was its most-watched season since 2021.

There’s obviously a lot of Joy in that.
