Maybe the jig is up and everyone found out you’re a huge racist. There are all kinds of ways today’s hottest stars might find themselves part of tomorrow’s long-term unemployed.
This looming specter of irrelevance means a lot of actors need to take the jobs while the jobs are giving. The Helen Mirrens and Daniel Day-Lewises of the world might get by without ever resorting to a Sharknado, but the rest might find themselves holding their noses to keep up with their child support payments.
