20 Movies People Are Begging You Not to Subject Yourself To

There’s an art and a science to a good bad movie. To execute it properly, start with a ridiculously thin or absurd premise, add some actors who take themselves and everything else way too seriously, shake with a writer who may not understand English and a director who spends most of their time propped up behind sunglasses asleep, sprinkle in some legitimately catchy musical numbers for maximum effect, et voila, you have a movie that’s so bad it’s good. These movies are genuinely a good time. You very well might laugh more at a bad drama than a good comedy.

But some movies circle right past “so bad it’s good” right back to bad and then even farther, stealing every memory of joy you once had. They’re so bad that when you see somebody else pick them up, you scream like Bonnie Hunt at the end of Jumanji (which is just a straight good movie). So when user TheRealOcsiban asked r/AskReddit, “What’s a movie that no human should ever suffer through?” Reddit had no trouble listing their own personal Bonnie Hunts.
