19 of the Funniest TikToks from the Week of September 25, 2023

With life-threatening flooding, rushing rapids filling subway stations and an entire terminal at LaGuardia shuttered due to inclement weather, the New York metropolitan area experienced one of its wettest days in decades on Friday. The city saw as much as 6.7 inches of rainfall in some neighborhoods, which has wreaked havoc on commutes, basements and local infrastructure. While Mayor Eric Adams has been criticized for his lack of preparedness ahead of the forecast, a State of Emergency has been put into effect as officials assess the damage. 

New Yorkers aren’t the only ones dealing with heavy rain, though. A TikToker shared one very human-like reaction that a pair of monkeys at the London Zoo had to some sudden rainfall. It’s a reaction that was probably seen all throughout Lower Manhattan yesterday as well.
