Cracked Teaches You How To Win The Radiohead Video Contest
So it seems Radiohead has sponsored a contest that offers fans a chance to create a video for any song off In Rainbows.

ReplyThis is an awful video depicting extreme animal abuse and bad parenting. Although Radiohead is kind of musical abuse and bad parenting. So let's call it even.
ReplyGladstone, I think you'll find the reason there are surprisingly few trolls here is that 80% of the commentators are, in fact, the same person.
ReplySure, I just log in under a different name, and there you go. I come up with all kinds of crazy stories about my family, or pretend to be from another country. I have to do a lot of research to make sure I always have the right side of every argument, though.
yeah the contest is only animation. i'm actually, (fer REAL real) working on one for that contest. yeah those situations are terrifying, i agree... sorry i had to let some people know (ahem) that these guys aren't just shock junkies...

1. I'm not sure why you think an astronaut being slowly drowned isn't terrifying. That video freaks me out.
2. i'm also equally confused why you see nothing disturbing about a man trying to outrun a car that's trying to kill him before it bursts into flames. That kind of gets to me. Also in "just" there's a guy twitching on the floor somewhat similarly to my dude being eaten by human faced ants.
but, more importantly,
3. This isn't actually an instructional video. I'm just portraying myself as a pompous film type douche who's mistaken being provocative with art. I don't think this video is actually good advice for winning the contest. Also, I think the contest may be limited to animation.
the video is kinda neat. the only problem is... this isnt anything like a radiohead video. they dont do that kinda freaky imagery thing, do they? i dont remember that in any of their videos. lets see... creep (band playing), um fake plastic trees (band in a grocery store), no surprises (astronaut who's helmet is getting filled with water), karma police (guy being chased by a car)... umm... idioteque (more singing). paranoid android (kinda weird, but not freaky images weird), ummmm.... pyramid song (deep sea diver visiting his old house in a flood).
Replyso uhhh ima have to call you on that "radioheadesque images" thing. they are big into alien heads and stick figures. not "snake biting babies" or "giant tarrantula's with human heads" kind of stuff. better luck next time!
