Wait, what does this have to do with Star Wars? This literally could've been any franchise or even made up characters (God forbid originality, though...) because it has nothing to do with Star Wars. That's why it's stupid. The joke would be passable if I weren't made to believe it was going to be a Star Wars joke. How does Cracked fail where freakin' Robot Chicken and Famiy Guy succeed?
Reply Hide All See All 5 RepliesChewie is very much like an animal. He is sort of the weird housepet in the happy post empire star wars family, so it is natural to assume chewie pooped inside. It also plays well with the dynamic between Chewbacca and Han Solo that's been established and become well known to all of us.
The fun twist, as a second, stronger, punchline, is that it was Luke all along. Which makes sense considering he lives with his sister, whom he was in love with and made out with, and her boyfriend, with whom he has a love/hate relationship, and his giant furry friend who could rip him to pieces in seconds. It's only natural for Luke to become angry, and with his issues on top of that as well, but he can't overpower anyone in the house but his sister.
Passive aggression no longer does it for him, so he has to go further, and finally kinda snaps, gravely insulting them both in one of the most primitive ways possible.

I don't know which is more unsettling: how mad the original poster got about this, or how oddly logical and well thought-out the response was to it.

Reply Hide All See All 3 RepliesIt's not funny, but when you see people b***hing on comments for Basic Instruction the comments are always "I'm sorry your pitiful brain can't understand sophisticated humor, would you prefer poop jokes?" and then this comment comes out, and it's like "f**k Basic Instructions, give me the poop jokes."
Basic Instructions isn't sophisticated, it's just s**t. It'd probably be less boring if they just put the words in plain text instead of using those pointless gray characters. This is supposed to be a comedy website.
Basic instructions is just an example of "dry humor"
Some people prefer wet humor.

ReplyOK this is not funny, but you guys trashing it should go to the actual Space Avalanche website and browse the archives (ignoring the horrible guest comic that currently occupies the main page). The guy really is good, he just kinda missed it this time.
