I disagree with the 3rd one. It's funny when you use them sparingly and in the right place, but not when you spam it around everywhere the way 13-year olds do it.
Wow, that makes a lot of forty year olds living in their parents basement. Considering how many a*****es post on forums and the fact that fifty year olds aren't allowed on the internet.
All hail the New World Order and their bid to clean up the internet!
Loss of faith in humanity indeed! Until the Internet, I thought only historical dictators and people brainwashed by Nazis or Commies could be evil. Now, I realize everybody is an a*****e under the skin. Just give them anonymity and impunity and they will spit out torrents of prejudice and malice.
I don't think thats that case. Some people are polite because they were raised that way, so it doesn't translate onto the internet. Some people abuse anonymity, some don't. I think that the reason you see so many anonymous people being a*****es is not in fact because they are suddenly anonymous (that would be putting the cart before the horse), but because they wanted to be anonymous so that they could be a*****es.
Besides, plenty of people already do hugely assholish things on non-anonymous places anyway, like facebook.
But even though facebook doesn't make you anonymous it is still another level of distance that makes people feel like they can get away with more... I kind of appreciate the internet for letting us know that evil is more omnipresent than you might think.
i act the same i do online and real life ._. just being anonymous brings the assholes out who cower in real life much like rain and worms. actually...much like rain and worms.
Anonymity doesn't make people into assholes. Assholes online are assholes in the real world. But the assholes are loudest so you tend to notice them first.
haha... my roommate is 50 and we have finally agreed that she is not allowed to do anything with modems/routers/computers/digital clocks without supervision. that being said, my mother is almost 50 and can text faster than me.
I'm about half an hour away form winning my first craption. I'm like 100 up, so it's pretty much guaranteed. I didn't want to make a big deal of this, so I posted on this old thread. Now you can all get back to discussing cars.
Hey, there Nathan, I came across your reply when I was googling one of my internet handels. It's a comment thread. Doesn't matter that it's not on the forum.

We're all so proud of you xxx
Congratulations! Use the winnings to buy some glasses. This is a comment section, not a forum thread.
Also, humanity's not evil. Just self-centred.
