Born in 1872 to itinerate farmers, Bugsby Furlsbottoms pulled himself up by the bootstraps, earning him moderate local fame as the levitating boy. He later went on to unexpectedly complete a competitive education at the St. Maria's school for wayward girls. He now makes his living as doctor, specializing in diseases of the rich.
