20 Thor Facts and Easter Eggs We Love (and Thunder)

With (SPOILERS) Cap retired and Tony Stark dead, Thor is now the main character of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The guy has been through a lot since he first appeared on theater screens in 2011. Within just a decade, he came to Earth, lost his father, lost his brother but got him back then lost him again (and maybe will get him back yet again?), lost an eye, got a new eye, lost a hammer, got a new hammer, lost his hair, gained a gut, lost his home, and gained a new one. That’s a lot for a person, god or not.

But shooting all of those movies, from the celebrated Thor: Ragnarok to the we-don’t-need-to-talk-about-it Thor: The Dark World, a lot of interesting things happened behind the scenes. There are also some fun Easter eggs left for fans to spot and annoyingly point out to their friends while watching Chris Hemsworth chuck a hammer at a monster.

Here are some fun facts and Easter eggs hidden within the Thor franchise.

Benedict Cumberbatch

THOR BTS FACTS AND EASTER EGGS THOR: THE DARK WORLD BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH TURNED DOWN A PART. Cumberbatch politely declined to portray Malekith, saying he'd rather hold out for something a bit more juicy. The gamble paid off, and he got the role of Doctor Strange years later. CRACKED.COM
