Movies are hard to make, and sometimes you just gotta quit, because hey, if you're making Red Sonja, that's gonna be a cool experience, but you know what isn't? Trying to force a huge robot in there because the producer keeps insisting you need, you just NEEEED a giant spider robot in act three, even though this a drama set in New England in 1850. Giant Spider Bot. For this reason, and many more, directors often call off the project. Sometimes, though, this happens when the film is already underway -- in pre-production or even half-way through filming.
