There's just something special about sitcoms, isn't there? They've been around for decades, and they show no signs of stopping. People love to watch them, whether they're laughing along with the characters or simply enjoying a good story. Sitcoms are always enjoyable and comforting, like spending time with old friends. Are sitcoms the best thing on TV? Whether you're a fan of classic sitcoms or newer ones, there's something for everyone in this genre.

We've all been there: You start watching a new sitcom on Netflix, only to have it canceled after a few episodes. It's frustrating, especially when you're left with nothing to watch but reruns of The Office. There are plenty of famous, well-known sitcoms that aired for multiple seasons and left a permanent mark on pop culture. But what about the quickly canceled sitcoms that we all seem to have forgotten about? Sure, they may not have had the longevity of some of their counterparts, but that doesn't mean they weren't entertaining in their own right. Here are just a few examples of quickly canceled sitcoms that we all seem to have forgotten about.

HAPPYISH

COMEDY NERD CRACKED.COM SHOWTIME NIXED HAPPYISH AFTER IT HAD BEEN ON THE AIR FOR ONE SEASON. DEPRESSION ATIVITY SS Philip Seymour Hoffman was in the pilot and had passed away only weeks after filming had wrapped up - they then shot a new pilot, but apparently the show just didn't work out.

COMEDY NERD CRACKED.COM THE REVIVAL OF MURPHY BROWN LASTED ALL OF ONE SEASON BEFORE THEY PULLED THE PLUG. MORP MORNII HY NO It featured Candice Bergen, the original Murphy Brown, and it came from the creator of the original series, Diane English - but it just failed to launch, apparently.

COMEDY NERD CRACKED.COM MINDY KALING'S SHOW CHAMPIONS GOT CANCELLED AFTER ONE SEASON ON NBC. It was about a gym owner who lived with his younger brother, and who suddenly finds a high-school fling coming back into his life.

SEAN SAVES THE WORLD

COMEDY NERD CRACKED.COM IN 2014, NBC CANCELLED THE SITCOM SEAN SAVES THE WORLD. It featured Sean Hayes as a gay single dad, and the network ordered a total of 18 episodes - but it pulled the plug while five were still being filmed.

COMEDY NERD CRACKED.COM JAMIE FOXX HAD A SITCOM, DAD STOP EMBARRASSING ME!, WHICH RAN FOR ONE SEASON. It was a Netflix show, and it was inspired by Foxx' relationship with his daughter.

COMEDY NERD CRACKED.COM FOX CANCELLED KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL AFTER JUST ONE SEASON. OLITA O It was based on Anthony Bourdain's book on the same name, but it didn't take a lot more than the name - there were a couple of nods to the book, but it mostly evolved into its own thing.
