Drawing from personal experience, we asked Cracked readers on social media, “What's an oddly specific insecurity you had as a teen that's funny in retrospect?” And, man, you were some hyper-focused teens. And while we recognize the pain you felt was real in the moment, we're grateful maturity has led us all laughing together at our silly insecurities.

TELL US NOW. LOOKING YOUNG Liam M. tells US, I always had a 'babyface,' so, in my teens, I perpetually looked like I was twelve (face wise). I kinda appreciate it now though, in my 30's. CRACKED.COM
TELL US NOW. WINDSHIELD WIPER SPEED Philip K. says, When it rained, I was bizarrely self-conscious about how fast my windshield wipers were going... like the other drivers around me were judging me for having them on too fast. Not sure what that was about. CRACKED.COM

In a special opaque bag in my purse. I was super careful to open them quietly when in public restrooms so no one would hear. I would purposefully change my thoughts whenever I walked by a person on a sidewalk or intentionally think kind thoughts whenever I pet a dog or cat. JIGGLING BODY PARTS Timothy M. tells US, When I used to ride public transit to high school I was always hyper conscious of the way that bumps in the road would make the skin on the underside of my jaw jiggle. I'd do everything from wearing big scarves in the winter to actively tensing my jaw and neck muscles to minimize the effect. In retrospect there was nothing really visible, it was just the sensation making think something mortifying was afoot. Teenagers, man. CRACKED.COM
TELL US NOW. PUMPING GAS Jenn B. tells US, I was super afraid that I was going to accidentally set my car on fire or put the wrong gas in my car and have it explode. I was really scared of gas stations and filling up my car unless I had been to that gas station plenty of times before. CRACKED.COM

One time while brushing my teeth I looked in the mirror and realized that she very unintentionally braided a swastika into the top of my head. TELL US NOW. GOING TO THE BATHROOM Alisha S. says, I thought it was unnatural that I had to go #1 or #2, and I didn't want people to know, so I would avoid going in if ANYONE was in there. And if people came in during, I would pull my legs up and stay on the toilet until the room was cleared out, then I'd get the hell out of there quickly. CRACKED.COM
