Classic Cars Ruined By Their Modern Remakes
With technology advancing rapidly all the time, no car manufacturer can stand still for too long. They're always looking for something new to add to their cars to make them better in every possible aspect, whether it's on the inside or the outside. Competition is fierce, so there are a lot of important decisions to make to stay on top.
Unfortunately, companies don't always make the best decisions, and remaking a classic car everyone loves can end up in complete and utter failure. So, here are some classic cars ruined by their modern remakes because car manufacturers aren't sure of what makes their beloved cars so popular.
Honda Prelude

Sadly, it's very much not the same car people used to drive manually and used for revving, so they could have used a completely different name and it would have been fine.
Honda NSX Tensei

Looks great, but again, it has nothing to do with the Honda NSX.
G22 BMW 4 Series

Going from the F32 to this was definitely a choice. If you don't recognize it, it's because most owners changed that awful grill.
Dodge Dart

They set out to make the most generic car they could, and they succeeded.
Jaguar XJ

Looks good, but it was a huge departure from what we were used to.
Land Rover Discovery

The rear gives their drivers nightmares.
3rd Gen Taurus

It was nicknamed the “jellybean” Taurus, so you know it wasn't very good.
Second Gen Toyota MR2

Not a bad car, although it wasn't as fun to drive. Its biggest problem was the increasing cost that set it apart from the OG.
2nd Gen Scion xB

Who doesn't want to drive around in a huge metal box?
2nd Gen Oldsmobile Aurora

The original Oldsmobile Aurora was pretty unique in design and parts, but the second gen made everything more generic and bland.
2nd Gen Acura NSX

What's with Honda remaking their old cars as hypercars?
5th Gen Chevrolet Monte Carlo

It just wasn't a Monte Carlo anymore.
Toyota Supra

The remade design never got a consensus, but on top of that, it was pretty impossible to live up to the expectations.
Subaru Outback

Can't you guys come up with a new name? That's not an Outback.
Nissan Z

It's a Nissan for sure, but it was too expensive for being the remake of an old car that didn't bring too much news to the table.
