1978's winter hit hard all around the world, with snowstorms that covered entire cities under a white glow that looked very nice, but felt like the apocalypse. On the other hand, disco music was everywhere, and that meant there was always a party going on somewhere. Most parties were you know, parties, and very different from the ‘60s, where everyone who wasn’t a hippie dressed elegant and acted like an adult. Others were a bit chaotic, with a lot of very unique characters (those hippies again) you would never forget in your life. That could be good or bad, depending on taste.
