Suspension of disbelief has us fully emerged in our favorite movies, but when we stop to think about characters trudging through the mud or snow, we think of the rough day they must’ve had on set. And we know, boo-hoo, right? They’re not coal miners or anything, so suck it up buttercup.

We guess what we’re trying to say is that although you might not feel sorry for some of these actors, experiencing severe mental illness and/or near-death experiences ain’t no joke. Here are a bunch of actors that were really going through it on set…
