King Kong

Peter Jackson secretly pays homage to the original King Kong. Jackson directed the 2005 remake of the classic monster movie, and chose to be one of the airplane gunners who takes down the big gorilla. It's the same part co-director Ernest В. Schoedsack played in the 1933 version. CRACKED.COM

Michael Caine is actually in Dunkirk, but he never shows up on-screen. He's the voice that gives out instructions, via radio, to Tom Hardy's and Jack Lowden's pilots near the start of the movie. CRACKED.COM

When the movie turns from sepia to color, they shot Judy Garland's stunt double in a sepia dress, with sepia makeup on, on a sepia set. Booger's winning belch in Revenge of the Nerds came from an animal - specifically, a camel. They took the sound of a camel having an orgasm and mixed it with a human belch to get the truly amazing seven-second sound in the movie. CRACKED.COM

His entire filmography is sprinkled with movies or movie projects involving authors like Lovecraft, Joyce, Gibran, and Updike. THE BLOB was based on a strange police report. The Philadelphia Inquirer ran an article in September, 1950, about two police officers who encountered something that fell from the sky resembling purple jelly. The blob seemed to be pulsating and was about 6-feet in diameter and nearly a foot thick at the center. Other officers were called in, and when someone touched the gelatinous thing, it started to evaporate. Years later, writer Irvine H. Viggo Mortensen got a black eye while learning to surf on the Lord of the Rings set. Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan tried to teach him how to surf on their day off, and Mortensen got hit right in the face. There's a deleted post-credits scene from Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
