We know how tough the competition can be down at OMalleys on a Tuesday night. Those mozzarella sticks arent going to win themselves, so you better bone up on these sweet movie factoids if you want to take home those marinara-soaked bragging rights.

We tried to give a huge variety, because you never know what that trivia host will throw at you.

Independence Day

Jasmine's kid's toys in Independence Day are actually an Easter egg. Her son plays with Godzilla toys, a reference to Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich's 1998 Godzilla movie (Independence Day came out in 1996, but they'd already made the deal to do Godzilla by then). CRACKED.COM

Lord of the Rings

CRACKED.COM TOMORROW NEVER DIES was supposed to be Tomorrow Never Lies after the producers and director decided that the title with 'Dies' did not make much sense. However, as the chosen title was being faxed over to MGM, an assistant mixed up the titles and sent Tomorrow Never Dies instead.

Star Wars

Death Wish III

Death Wish III was renamed when a survey revealed half the US couldn't read Roman numerals. CRACKED.COM The title was changed to simply Death Wish 3 after the Cannon Group did a marketing survey. This didn't help the film with critics, however, and it was mostly negatively reviewed.

Coraline

The clothes for Coraline were hand-knitted. Production designer Althea Crome knitted them with tiny needles as thick as a human hair. She even did the socks. CRACKED.COM

V for Vendetta

BTN In V for Vendetta, they put V's on screen everywhere. That includes props arranged to form a v, V-shaped bloodstains, and daggers forming a V over and over as they fly through the air. CRACKED.COM

Deadpool 2

In Deadpool 2, someone had to be filmed saying every line Deadpool said. That way, the visual effects team could map the right expression to the animated mask. CRACKED.COM

Knives Out

Finding Nemo

Pixar animators had to take a graduate-level class in ichtyology (fish science) for Finding Nemo. It was to ensure the fish movements were as accurate as possible. CRACKED.COM

Up

Pixar designers were super, super specific about the details of Carl's house in Up. They decided on everything down to how often cracks would appear in the paint, and how large they'd be. CRACKED.COM

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

All the chainmail for the Uruk-hai in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers was made by hand. The costume department made chain mail for two years straight and produced 6 miles of it. CRACKED.COM

Chinatown

Faye Dunaway wore vintage silk stockings from Paris and period jewelry in Chinatown. The jewelry so expensive, full-time guards had to keep an eye on it. Costume designer Anthea Sylbert knew nobody would notice, but she thought it'd improve Dunaway's performance. CRACKED.COM

Blade Runner

To achieve the replicant eyes effect in Blade Runner, the crew used an elaborate mirror and light system. They'd put a two-way mirror at a 45 degree angle in front of the camera lens and then project a light into that mirror, so that the light would hit the actors' eyes. They'd even add colored gels sometimes, to make the eyes more vivid. And they'd often shoot a scene with and without that effect. CRACKED.COM

David Fincher

Nytt 4 vt David Fincher built one of the biggest fake rain towers in Stockholm for a 23-second shot. It was for the courthouse exterior shot in Daniel Craig's introduction in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and the setup took one to two days. CRACKED.COM

Memento

The hardest part of making Memento was filming a bullet casing rolling on the floor. The only way Christopher Nolan could figure out to make the casing move in the right way was to get on  hands and knees and blow on it. CRACKED.COM

12 Monkeys

Terry Gilliam spent a day making a hamster run. The background of a shot in his movie 12 Monkeys had a hamster wheel in which the hamster was supposed to be running. The hamster was uncooperative and, instead of getting rid of the wheel, Gilliam trained it to run. That led to his obsession with minor, unimportant details being called The Hamster Factor. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

For Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, the shots of Toronto were cleaned up of things like satellites and wires. That made them look simpler, nicer, and more like Bryan Lee O'Malley's artwork. They even stripped down the trees to make them look more like those in O'Malley's art. CRACKED.COM

Christopher Nolan

Christopher Nolan went to crazy lengths to keep Bruce Wayne's funeral scene in The Dark Knight Rises secret. Не put Miranda Tate's name on the tombstone, and had it replaced with Bruce Wayne's digitally. Не also had Christian Bale in the scene (but didn't use shots of him in the final cut), just so nobody would suspect anything. CRACKED.COM

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Gremlins

THE STUDIO WANTED GREMLINS TO BE LESS GREMLIN-HEAVY. According to director Joe Dante, an issue Warner Bros. executives had with Gremlins was that it had too many of those nasty gremlins. They backed down when Steven Spielberg, who was producing, pointedly joked they should just cut all the gremlins out and call the movie People. GRAGKED.COM

Harry Potter’s Fortune

CRACKED.COM FANS HAVE CALCULATED HARRY POTTER'S FORTUNE. A couple of Reddit users, being Reddit users, analyzed images of Harry's vault in Sorcerer's Stone, estimated the exchange rate, and arrived at a minimum of 50,625 Galleons, or $1,265, 625. And that's just the balance when Harry was 11, before Gringott's interest rates.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Apocalypse Now
