When it comes to this contraband, any salty old warden would turn the other cheek. Ours gave us a little push back, but we reminded him that Andy Dufresne got to keep his pinup girl posters in The Shawshank Redemption. 

He reminded us that those posters were exactly how Andy was able to escape, but we pointed out that he had just given us a sweet little tidbit about a movie! Once he realized that movie facts are a great way to pass the time and keep us out of trouble, he relented. Now we just have to find a way for these to help us escape — and preferably not involving a long sewage pipe.

David Fincher ordered Mara Rooney to get blackout drunk, then come to him the morning after. Не wanted to take pictures of her to show the studio that Rooney could look strung out as Lisbeth in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, so they'd cast her. She did it, throwing up that whole night. A lot of the time on the Elysium shoot, Matt Damon had to throw away what he was wearing at the end of the day. Many scenes were shot in Bordo Poniente in Mexico City, the second-largest garbage dump in the world. Ben Stein improvised the boring economics lecture in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. ofisci licy.e mon polic Stein, a real-life economist, was brought in to play a small part in John Hughes' film. When he began reading his lines off-camera in his monotone voice, the actors started screaming with laughter. Hughes got the camera rolling and told Stein to make up ... anyone? anyone? ... his lesson. Matthew Broderick was so impressed that he encouraged Stein to pursue acting. CRACKED.COM

The Godfather

Francis Ford Coppola randomly gave Marlon Brando a stray cat while filming The Godfather. Coppola wanted to test out the legendary actor's skills, so he handed him a kitty he found wandering the Paramount lot. Brando (an animal lover) remained unfazed, using it in the opening scene, even as the cat's purring interfered with the sound. CRACKED.COM

The Goodfellas

Joe Pesci's most famous Goodfellas scene was based on a story he told about being a waiter when he was a kid. GO UX th Anisette While Pesci was on the set of Goodfellas, he told Ray Liotta a story about how he once got in trouble for calling a mobster funny. Martin Scorsese later heard the tale and told him to use it in the film. The director wanted to get real reactions out of the others actors, so he didn't tell them Pesci would blow a fuse. The Avengers

An ad lib from Robert Downey Jr. inspired the post-credits scene in F - - - Marvel's The Avengers. After the downtown battle, Tony Stark says, Have you ever tried shawarma? -- one of many lines Robert Downey Jr. improvised. This gave Joss Whedon the idea to shoot a stinger two days after the film's world premiere. Chris Evans had grown a beard for another role and wore prosthetics to cover it. Leonardo DiCaprio made a scene in Django Unchained even more tense by accidentally cutting his hand. After doing several takes of Calvin Candie's racially charged monologue, DiCaprio sliced his hand on a shattered glass. The actor used the injury to his advantage, horrifying the usually bloodthirsty director, Quentin Tarantino. Star Wars
