‘Jaden Smith was so annoying I ended up totally hating that movie’
22 of the Best Movies Ruined By Their Actors

Like a risky publicity stunt or outcome of a misconduct investigation, actors’ performances can make or break a movie. A good movie can be elevated to greatness, and a big ol’ stinker can rise to the level of “okay.” On the other hand, a bad cast can’t drag an already terrible movie down all that much further. It’s called the Suicide Squad Principle.

However, a bad performance in an otherwise great movie can destroy the whole thing. For one Redditor, it was Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. “I just can’t take (him) seriously as an evil villain,” they told r/AskReddit, because “he still looks like he’s 25,” adding that, “Billy Zane would have been awesome. Plus, he’s already bald, so none of that shaved head shit.”

They then asked, “What movie had a great plot but was ruined by bad acting or wrong casting?” Here’s how their fellow Redditors answered…
