Coming from someone who was actually in this situation (though I didn't misunderstand the lady's question and it was a doll, not a teddy bear) I can say this is at least a little bit funny. Though I really don't appreciate how often I see child abuse treated in so lightly a manner. Yeah, offensive things can be funny, but I just wish jokes of this nature weren't quite so frequent.

I like other fatawesome comics, but I don't really get why this one is that funny, since it seems like such a small misunderstanding and not that big a jump from what the kid was actually supposed to do.
