Nah I actually prefer New Jersey over New York, and Ive lived in both. Although it depends a lot on the part of Jersey
@mcfl116- True. In south NJ there aren't as many guidos populating the beaches, its mostly white trash down here...including my household...but we won't talk about that.

Funny stuff! I can understand if those outside of America didn't get this, but I'm surprised at the Americans who didn't get it. Maybe it's because I watch too much television, though. Now that I think about it, I don't personally know anyone who does the guido thing in Alabama. I'm sure it's only a matter of time...

It's a term for men (and men only - the term has nothing to do with women) who tend to spend more than the standard amount of time or money on their appearance, buying designer clothes, styling products, skin and hair care, gym memberships, all that sort of thing. Of course, one could easily argue that the amount spent on designer or designer knock-off clothing, lip gloss and hairstyling products qualify these guys as 'metrosexual', but not quite "if the joke is that people from Jersey are gay...or metro-sexual" as though one has anything to do with the other. One refers to sexuality, and one refers basically to how much money someone spends on their image.
Look, point is, you didn't get the joke, and that's fine. You didn't know what 'metrosexual' meant, either, and now you do. So that's awesome, you learn something new every day. But for me
The joke is that people from Jersy are douchebags, and she want's nothing to do with the "Fair" prince.
