They say "knowledge is power," but "they" seem to forget that most of our knowledge is devoted to subjects that are completely useless and retarded. If you could somehow harness just the brain power that's currently being spent on, say, memorizing fantasy football stats, you could probably cure cancer. Nowhere is humanity's obsession with the inconsequential more obvious than on Wikipedia, where even the most obscure topics get propped up on enormous blocks of text. Here are the most depressing--and somewhat frightening--examples. #8.

To the writer: f**k f**k MOTHER MOTHER f**k f**k MOTHER f**k MOTHER f**k NOICH NOICH NOICH!
Oh, your a pedantic idiot also. Unicode is for people who understand it. you can wiki "pedantic" if you don't know what it means.
Take it easy elezium lol.... Seriously, this entire article is for the sake of comedy. I love Kevin Smith's work but I too find "Jay" having that long of a wiki article entirely useless....
so as i find Kevin Smith's Jay+Silent Bob movies funny that must make me a 12 yr old moron...
or just someone who happens to like a good funny film that are actually quite intelligent in places.certainly funnier than almost all the "comedy of the yr" "it's so funny" films churned out by hollyweird...maybe you're jealous that an ex-drug addict who's "talentless" is making more money than and is more famous than the writer of this.
"This list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it." then followed by this in the unicode article:
"This article may be too long to comfortably read and navigate. Please consider splitting content into sub-articles and using this article for a summary of the key points of the subject."
Heh...You'd be surprised at how seriously these would-be royals take things. I knew a guy that was 20-something in line for the Spanish throne and he figured he had a shot...good luck, Franscza...
Metroid s**t is hot.
The Simpsons Wikipedia page may be a fourth the length of the List of 7th Heaven episodes, but the List of Simpsons episodes page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Simpsons_episodes) is easily longer than the list of 7th Heaven episodes.
Ha! This was a awesome article, but I could have done without the Anna Kournikova pictures though.
The Wikipedia page for Unicode characters now says, "This article may be too long."
That Jason Mewes Wiki Doesn't contain any details of his drug use. I want 'frightening detail'...
While Mewes' character seems (re: is) ridiculous at times, it is widely known that Kevin Smith has a tight group of friends (hence lots of the same people are in all his movies) that he chooses to employ. While I'm usually not a fan of nepotism, I think it's cool that he's stayed loyal to his friends, especially to the dismay of Internet critics who don't approve of a Silence of the Lambs parody wedged randomly (Family Guy-style)into the script of Clerks 2.
There's a lot of toilet humor in Kevin Smith's films, but they are somehow at the same time smart and compelling. That's why people like them. And they like the dumbass-character of Jay that Mewes provides--with excellence.
well at least they're not making and animated star wa....s**t.
Capital*
><
But Paducah isn't small... :(
But my favorite is Lexington, KY's: "The Horse Captial of the World." (read: f**k YOU, Ocala, Florida!)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoophile
this one ridiculously long too
Metroid? Wtf are you kidding? 30,000 words? How the hell can a bunch of games with NO DIALOGUE whatsoever have 30,000 words worth of info?
Jason Mewes is hot. Unicode....not so much.
boring! *ninja*
