What happens when you take a gifted comic writer and actor, a person who is a veteran of MadTV, one of two stars in a massively popular Comedy Central sketch show, and seemingly at the height of their powers…what happens when you give that person all the money they want and tell them to make a movie? You get some of the best horror movies of the century, obviously.
Jordan Peele quit acting because of poop, but his directorial efforts have been anything but. His movies are intricate, smart, and legitimately terrifying. Get Out has us asking questions years after its release. Us, too. Even the Nope trailer hints at a clever web weaving history, racism, and whatever those alien-looking things end up being. Peele's horror success is an exciting second act for someone who's already given so much to the comedic world.
