These days, Trump and his inner circle are swearing up and down and that they're taking the pandemic very seriously and always have. Except, uh, the record shows they got warnings about it for months, but sat on their thumbs. In November 2019, military intelligence warned about a contagion in Wuhan that could be "a cataclysmic event." In January and February, U.S. intelligence agencies put out multiple reports about the risk of a pandemic. On January 10, the WHO told the U.S. and other governments about the possibility of COVID-19 spreading through human contact. And instead of acting on any of that, these guys treated the emerging health crisis like a punchline.
