If you send me a message or friend request, imagine you had to walk to your local Pony Express office, hand-write the note, and then pay four pennies for international delivery.
Then imagine the plucky rider braving fierce snow storms, lashing rains, landslides, and waves the size of a cathedral (one where they did manage to finish the pointy bits on the towers).
Finally imagine him delivering the message to me, me writing a little note back with the reply, and then replay the whole thing backwards.
It's a bit more fun that way than just telling you straight out that I rarely check anything on my profile, and that you might have to wait a while for a reply.
