63 of the Funniest Tweets from the Week of April 28, 2025

Most actors decide to sign onto a show based on the desire to explore a new creative opportunity or bank a fat check. Gilligan’s Island star Natalie Schafer isn’t most actors.
In a newly-unearthed interview, the late Hollywood legend admitted that the real reason she boarded television’s most fateful three-hour tour was finally having the chance to go to Hawaii. “My agent called me, saying, ‘Listen, Natalie, we can get you good money, and you can go to Hawaii where you’ve never been. This will never sell. You don’t have to worry about it,’” Schafer recalled.
The Simpsons is also spilling decades-old secrets. Earlier this week, writer John Swartzwelder offered a behind-the-scenes look at one of the show’s most iconic episodes, sharing some previously unseen snaps taken during the recording of 1992’s “Homer at the Bat.” “Is show business great or what?” he captioned a photo depicting him and fellow writer Jeff Martin posing with “a couple of Boston Red Sox” back in “the summer of 1991.”
As Swartzwelder can attest, recording an amazing episode of television is a great reason to smile — and so are these hilarious tweets from the past week. The funniest included those about a Nintendo Switch filled with ants, Mystery Inc.’s beloved pup and The Rizzler’s inevitable trip to therapy.
