66 of the Funniest Tweets from the Month of April 2025

Abe Simpson is known for warning of the EPA’s plot to encase Springfield in a giant, inescapable dome and being the “old man yelling at cloud” in all those memes, but it appears the cartoon patriarch has been stripped of one of his defining achievements: serving in World War II.
Sunday’s “Abe League of Their Moe” appeared to entirely rewrite what The Simpsons patriarch had been up to during the 1940s, dishonorably discharging his years of military service with the Flying Hellfish to depict him as a baseball-loving child during the Second World War. “It’s official: Grampa is canonically too young to have fought in WWII,” observed Twitter user @Galileo908 shortly after the episode hit the airwaves.
Unfortunately for TV-canon purists, another beloved animated dad has been opened up for revision, too. Earlier this month, Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich hinted that some changes may be in store for King of the Hill’s upcoming revival, promising that fans will see beloved propane salesman Hank Hill “in a whole new way” come Season 14. “It is so perfect for our times without trying too hard,” the exec spilled during a recent chat with Variety.
While fans will have to wait and see what propane-powered antics Hank is cooking up later this year, we can still enjoy a laugh while reminiscing about this month’s funniest tweets. April’s best posts included those about calling a jury “chat,” a Wikipedia for normal people and a soda’s apparent healing powers.
