Mac’s A** Pounder 4000 from ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Has Found Its Rightful Place in a Museum
If you saw the giant dildo pop out of Mac’s “Ass Pounder 4000” and thought, “Wow, that belongs in a museum,” not only are you down absolutely horrendous, but you’re also apparently in good company among the world’s leading sexperts.
In a rare win for the resident sheriff of Paddy’s Pub, Mac isn’t the first one to add a bit of ass-fucking to his daily workout, as a similar contraption has graced the horny, hallowed halls of New York City’s Museum of Sex.
The bike, which was on display from 2015 to 2019 as a part of the museum’s “Object XXX” exhibition, predates Season 12’s “Hero or Hate Crime,” and is a much more elaborate version of the duct-tape and silicon monstrosity first unveiled during The Gang’s disastrous attempt at arbitration.
Don't Miss
Unlike Mac’s bike, which requires you to sit down and get pushed right back up into your workout, getting a proper ass pounding is an (at least!) two-man job with the museum’s version. Each turn of the pedals sets the machine, which is crafted with the parts of at least three bikes, spinning, prompting a metal pole with an attached dildo to thrust forward and backward.
“It’s quite amazing to see the attitude around the bike change,” Bustle’s Gigi Engle explained of the Borat-esque device back in 2017. “Everyone is there to have fun. Everyone is there to enjoy themselves.”
The piece appears to have returned to the Museum of Sex’s archives, but Always Sunny fans recently took a moment to appreciate the serendipity of these two 2010s inventions on the show’s subreddit.
“Should’ve got that patent,” joked one fan, as another quoted Mac’s tagline for the device: “Never stop pumping!!!”
Meanwhile, a third argued that whether we like it or not, Mac’s iteration of the bike — and not the museum piece — is what peak ass-pounding performance looks like. “They need a firmer dildo on that thing,” they wrote. “Because reasons.”
