Earlier this week, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene proved that contrary to popular misconception, she does have a sense of humor – that of a monocle-wearing, diabolically giggling cartoon supervillain – after inexplicably laughing off a question partially regarding children dying of Covid-19 in her home state.

It all started earlier this week when MTG– not to be confused with the beloved, non-conspiracy-touting card game, Magic the Gathering – found herself in hot water after posting a bizarre tweet stating that “the controversial #COVID19 vaccines should not be forced on our military" and falsely alleging that the "virus that is not dangerous for non-obese people and those under 65," despite ample evidence proving otherwise.

Although the lawmaker was slapped with a whopping 12-hour suspension from the platform, it seems Greene learned roughly nothing from her half-day Twitter time-out, a sentiment evident through her laughter at a question regarding the physical wellbeing of Georgia residents.

“Do you feel any responsibility for keeping people in Georgia safe?" reporter Tia Mitchell asked Greene in a press conference. “You know, there are children, skinny people who have died of the coronavirus. Do you feel any responsibility?"

Despite the fact that this question is far from hypothetical, as almost 21,000 Georgia residents, including a five-year-old with no underlying conditions who passed away last week, have died after contracting Covid-19, according to Vice News, Greene still evidently managed to see the humor in this dire situation.

“Tia, you crack me up,” the Georgia representative said with a laugh. “You know what? I think people’s responsibility is their own, to read the information. And it’s everywhere," she continued.

So folks, remember, don't laugh at dead children, especially if you're a state representative. I shouldn't have to tell you this!
