‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Just Said That Joe Rogan Smells Like Dogsh*t
In tonight’s new episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, viewers learned that Dennis Reynolds both listens to The Joe Rogan Experience and buys pseudo-scientific products from its sponsors, a revelation that probably deserves its own bullet point in the “Dennis is a serial killer” fan theory.
In “Overage Drinking: A National Concern,” Dennis and Dee get a blast from the past when their would-be prom dates from the Season One episode “Underage Drinking: A National Concern” return to Paddy’s Pub to save their son from falling into the same trap of teenaged partying and unexpected pregnancy that brought them together. Nearly two decades after the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Gang (minus Mac) got roped into the high school drama of a bunch of underaged boozers, Dennis and Dee decide to finish what they started and tempt Tammy and Trey respectively into partaking in some extramarital entertainment with little success.
Like many men pushing 50, today’s Dennis needs a little chemical assistance for his seduction system, and when he and Dee drop by the Tammy and Trey household, he comes prepared with the finest aphrodisiac that the Manosphere has to offer: a Rogan-endorsed pheromone serum made from bovine testicular fluid that makes Dennis smell like he stepped in dogshit, or so said his target Tammy.

So according to Always Sunny writers, Rogan and his biohacking business partners smell absolutely atrocious — and, possibly, their wives and girlfriends are turned on by the smell of shit.
Fans of the sadly discontinued The Always Sunny Podcast will recall that, for one brief, fleeting moment in 2021, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day and Rob Mac dethroned The Joe Rogan Experience and became the #1 most streamed podcast on Spotify, but, unfortunately for their accountants, the Always Sunny co-stars didn’t ride that momentum into nine-figure endorsement deals for ineffective chemical sludges marketed as cure-alls for balding, impotent men who refuse to get the measles vaccine.
While we should applaud any successful male comedy podcaster for resisting the urge to become a masculinity grifter and make easy millions, it does make way too much sense that, within the world of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, at least one member of the Gang is both a Rogan fan and one of his snake oil customers. And, despite being arguably one of the smarter members of the Gang, Dennis is the obvious mark for Rogan and his foul-smelling pheromone colognes.
Being a woman, Dee would naturally find Rogan and his crowd automatically repellant even without the foul stench of bull jizz wafting off of them, and Frank is too savvy a businessman to fall for the podcasting king’s many scam products. Due to his literacy challenges, Charlie couldn’t queue up any podcast if he tried, and while Mac would seem to be the target audience for a Rogan-type (less so now that he’s no longer in denial about his sexuality), he famously hates women and would never purchase a product intended to attract them.
Dennis, however, is a vain, insecure, declining misogynist, which makes him the perfect target for any masculinity grifter or supplement slinger on Spotify. And, while Tammy sniffed out Dennis’ rancid, Rogan-brained skeeviness, Dennis did succeed in bedding her son’s 19-year-old girlfriend — much like Rogan’s podcast, Dennis’ seduction methods are much better at manipulating underdeveloped minds.
