Looking to promote its new series with National Geographic, Breakthrough, GE partnered with Cracked to create a multi-platform consumer experience. Cracked hosted a live podcast with Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman and two actual (mad?) scientists to talk about apocalypses and post-apocalyptic movies. The live podcast was extended to digital in the form of an audio version on The Cracked Podcast and a video featured on the Cracked YouTube channel.
