    Katie, I know I said I'd stop sending you stuff with my blood on it. And, as you and I both know, that didn't exactly happen.

    But I can see now that you read my letters! Seeing you on all fours scrubbing the floor...I...I just can't thank you enough. I mean, I'd always HOPED you were reading what I was sending -- I know the crayon is hard to read but I can't get any pens or pencils where I am now -- but now I know it. NOW I KNOW IT.
