This was so funny!
Replyworst therapist ever
ReplyI always hated The Neverending Story.
ReplyWow, this was quite funnier than I expected it to be. I was literally laughing out loud for most of it.
ReplyThe bearded guy looks like he could be Paul Giamatti's son!
ReplyThe guy with the beard looks like Zac Orth. Turns out his name is Dan St. Germain. He and the other patient were both outstanding :)
ReplySloth from The Goonies is actually the epilogue to Footloose, which ends on the insinuation that Chris Penn and Sarah Jessica Parker go on to mate.
ReplyYou should have done one with Toby from Labyrinth. ^.^
ReplyToby was a baby when he got kidnapped, so he would've potentially been fine.
Great video, unlike that pretentious John Cheese. The laugh was super creepy.
ReplyThis guys can't do a thing wrong.
Replyyou certainly can however.
Great stuff!
ReplyAwesome vid. Psychiatrist could have been more convincing, though. He mostly seemed like some disbelieving guy taking the piss, not someone trying to help.
ReplyHey, thanks to Lee Strasberg for stopping by to comment.
That's a psychoanalist, not necessarily a psychiatrist, and psychoanalists on the media *are* people taking the piss and not trying to help.
Legend says that's how they are in real life.
Dumpin' on the 80's again cracked?
Reply Hide All See All 4 RepliesWell, in their defense, f**k the 80's.
Honestly, it was the worst decades for children's psyche since the 50's. Terrible terrible moral compass.
Actually I was a little disturbed by Falcor's slimy-looking back.. but I otherwise loved him
I'd say kids growing up in the 80s with truly inspiring movies that weren't so damn tamed down are doing better than the current generation. Yes, stuff like The Dark Crystal could give you the creeps, but thinking that's bad for the spyche is amateurish. The human mind is sooo complex. Actually, the broader and weirder the scope of influences, the more open minded and thoughtful become. Today's movies are way too artificial and suppress way too many themes that are considered unhealthy. Well, you know, maybe it's unhealthy to try to hide things that can't be hidden forever.
The Goonies
The Labyrinth
ET
The Golden Child
Willow
Neverending Story
Momo
Time Bandits
Return to Oz
Ronja Rovarsdotter
All of them are fantastic, my generation was raised up with movies like these, and even though they contain mild violence, some foul language and some parts that might be scary we all grew up being perfectly okay.
omibosh that horrible, booming laugh...no one could be sane after that
Replyof course, nothing's creepier than the 80's soundtracks
This is the first cracked video/article where there's not a single negative comment. I'm impressed... also I enjoyed the video.
ReplyOh come on, everyone in that universe acknowledged ET's existence.
ReplyUntil the government came in and "encouraged" everyone to forget....
What if the universe existed only in the poor child's mind?
Nice follow up to The Neverending Story article by John Cheese the other day, and great job! :)
ReplyThis is fantastic! I love these guys!
ReplyBahahaha, wonderful. That is all.
ReplyThis was great. I loved the reaction at 1.01 after the flashback. That guy's performance was wonderful. He has such lovely quiet vulnerability.
