Oddly with hindsight Drago really was the more sympathetic figure, being a poor tool of the state manipulated by his love of a woman who was a political officer in the soviet military into having numerous experimental drugs pumped into his body.... Were he played by Jude Law there would be a movie there.

Although hilarious, this video is just as racist as basically every American alive through the Cold War. Sine then, America collectively has portrayed Russia as a Communist, backwards talking, strange accent and alphabet donning, passive aggressive nation that is always covered in snow. Let's not forget that without the Soviets through World War II, most of the world would now be under a fascist dictatorship. Nevertheless, this video is racist.

  Please look-up the word Fascist in a dictionary and see how (well) it applies to the former Soviet regime.
  Also, you might be interested to know that both Natzi and Communist ideologies emerged from Karl Marx's radical-socialism, with the main diverging difference being that nazis chose to mass-murder minorities as opposed to both lower and upper classes in an effort to create "uniformity" and eliminate class-struggle as the communists did.
  
  For more detailed info on the matter I recommend you download and watch "The Soviet Story (2008)"

  The Soviets were spewing the same propaganda against Americans. Maybe not as much in movie form, but definitely in radio, tv, and cultural hegemony. The US was just better and louder at it. They called us greedy, backwards, capitalist pigs. In this, how are we different or worse?

This wasn't Communist enough...they forgot the deleted scene where Drago has to prove himself worthy of the boxing circuit the only way those Soviets know how; by making him wrestle bears in the still glowing embers of Chernobyl. Immediately followed by his bear wound/radiation treatment.
