WHAT THE HELL. Did she forget that she can be in any other person's movie. Every other movie is accessible to her because she is a white woman. How dare she complain because white people are typecasted in Tyler Perry movies, he also typecasts black people, so there's no difference, please get struck by lightning
I'm not really mad, I hope I haven't created such a horrible character for myself that a line like, "please get struck by lightning", is actually taken seriously. Though I disagree with it, I'm was never mad. All of my comments are angry like that, whether I'm mad or not. It's just my way. Also, good acting? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
"good acting" and "raging dick" are two different things. If you're trying to convince us you aren't a dick because you were just acting like a dick, you're still a dick, dick.
I think you fail to see the point of the video. Tyler Perry has been criticized, and rightly so, for casting racially stereotypical roles time after time. A lot of people find this offensive. It does absolutely nothing to improve the self-image of black people and it does nothing to race relations and forge a better society. This video is not so much calling Tyler Perry racist against white people as it is accusing him of being racist towards black people. Why should there be these roles set by society? Why can't you have a black boss? Sure, black people in high business positions may be rare, but watching Tyler Perry movies you could be excused for finding the concept of a black boss inconceivable, heresy even.
She forgot the awkward white mother who a.)finds out her son is having an affair with a black lady b.)has a best friend who's black so she HAS to have a southern accent.
I was about to start responding to many of the comments saying that this or that black director also hates white people with "yeah, like [insert any white director you've ever heard of here] hasn't made a million movies with crap parts for black folk." Or the people who commented on the irony of a white woman complaining about lousy parts in a film, when it hit me like a racist zebra in the face: Irony... oh, like comedy. Yeah, this is a comedy piece. Whew, I almost showed how stupid I am to the world... you know, like half the other people posting here did? That was a close one.
Points for ripping on Tyler Perry awarded. The guy is just as racist as any redneck. However, I deduct all those points for being annoying. Annoying on purpose is still annoying.
you know what i learned from POZ-Dating[.]Com? just be positive and keep hope. Like somebody said, "Life ain't a b**ch, life is a beautiful woman. You just call her a b**ch because she don't give you that pu**y. . . maybe you're just an a**hole. . ."
i think we can all agree that MIDGETS get the worst rolls...like santa's helper#1, santas helper#2...mini me, santa's helper#3, R2D2,random talking stuffed panda toy,....you will never see a midget being bruce willis...and if you DO..call the authorities immediately because im 80% sure its illegal
The only good thing Spike Lee ever did was get PE to do a soundtrack for him.
Funny note on racsim: I once told a friend of mine, without any other context, that I plain do not like Spike Lee. He suddenly declared me a racist. Since it's pretty ridiculous to call someone racist for not liking a director of a different colour (like that f**king matters), I decided to facetiously reply "why? because he's Asian?"
Your opinion to Spike Lee aside, the man made 'Do the Right Thing' possibly the closest thing to a perfect movie, if only he hadn't cast himself as the lead. He also made 'Malcolm X' which was a great piece of rhetorical filmmaking as well as incredible. I enjoyed 'Inside Man' and '25th Hour' as well, but they're nowhere near these two movies. And if you were referring to Spike Lee's use of white roles, you obviously did not see 'Do the Right Thing' which Danny Aiello got an Oscar nomination for (though I thought Ossie Davis was more deserving) or '25th Hour' which has one of my favorite lead performances by Edward Norton.
Your opinion in Spike Lee is a valid opinion, but Tyler Perry hasn't made a single influential movie. Period.
On the other side of the argument though, your friend must be a moron. Odds are, even if you are racist, Spike Lee is more racist than you.
LOL omg!
