I just saw the movie and I easlly saw the whole story comming the whole oustsider/chosen one story it was reallt preidtable, but the vigials are mind blowing but it's not the best movie ever like a lot of people say it is.
Avatar surprised me with an endless amount of unparalleled optical overload with its every single shot which is just so full of detail that you literally open your eyes wider to take as much in as you can before each cut.

But if you looked at the whole movie, you could've talked about the paper-thin plot, the grade school morality, the intelligence insulting characters, or the bafflingly simplistic themes, but instead you did what everyone else has done and said it's unoriginal. But hey, at least you didn't say the words fern, gully, Pocahontas, dances, or wolves. So you've got that going for you.
This came out before the movie was released. Also, if there were a thesis to this HBN its just that Cameron had unlimited time and money to make the movie of his dreams -- and that movie is a mere rehash of goofy s**t he and others have done before with a bloated CGI budget.
Interestingly, the comparison of Pandora to a Yes album cover is more apt than this vid shows. In the movie, (yes, I saw it) there are landscapes not shown in the trailer that even more closely resemble the Yes albums, especially the second one shown. Also, in an issue of Entertainment weekly, an article on Avatar made the exact same comparison to a Yes album, I wonder who came up with the line first, Entertainment Weekly or Gladstone?
I think the remote body thing is actually from Ghost in the Shell, and somehow Jojo's bizarre adventure. Maybe its not from them, but they had the remote body thing before.

Having seen the film I must say that this HBN was in no way scathing enough.
