Pretty good if u get the references, but kinda a closed off concept to most people,
I thought it was really funny, but mosstly cos of the requiem reference
"Lux Aeterna makes EVERYTHING more intense (music at the end). It's just the truth ^_^"
True, but that wasn't Lux Aeterna (one of the Ligeti pieces used in 2001) That was the theme from 'Requiem for a Dream' (called, I think, just 'Theme from Requiem for a Dream') 'twas also used in the "Two Towers" trailer (Jackson even had an orchestra re-record the piece specifically for that trailer)
This segmane was funny... up until the end. They totally dropped the ball there. I understand it's a parody of Requiem for a Dream, which would be funny if I'd seen that movie. Why slip from a general parody of porn movies into some Friedman/Saltzberg-type crap?
To RDean..the fact that this isn't funny has nothing to do with the ladies in this video and everything to do with the fact that this sh*t is NOT FUNNY.
Acting absurdly stupid is not a joke, it's just acting extremely stupid. You need some kind of semblance of hope that something could actually happen for it to have a shot at being funny.
If you've seen Requiem for a Dream, you would notice that the ending part with the guy running away and the camera in front of him is a parody of part of that film. That part had me rofling. Even if that particular piece of music is overused, it was still appropriate.
well i see that our resident movie critic's comment located directly beneath mine gave this video a jarring two thumbs right up his ass. that's the only logical explanation i can come up with while searching for a reason for such bitterness. turn that ever discriminating eye of judgement back on yourself for a second, dickis. where are your epic, spielberg produced, tarantino directed internet shorts at? oh, you don't have any? neither does anybody. its the fucking interwebs man. things like "concepts" and "AIDS" don't exist here.
if you were paying attention during the video rather than brooding like a teenage vampire you would have noticed that there were several seperate "gags" going on here. watch it again, take notes and then eat the paper you wrote the notes on, choke and die you cynical wang broom.
What the fuck is this shit? Where is the joke? I don't know why I bother watching any of the non-blogger "comedy" videos on Cracked, because clearly whoever chooses them doesn't actually understand humour, they just had it described to them once. Badly.
I've said it before, but it's still relevant. You need to move past the "basic concept" stage before you actually film it. You come up with a concept, and I know, it's all fresh and exciting so you want to get straight into it, but it turns out you actually have to do some writing and rewriting and get opinions from unbiased sources and rewrite it again and then film it and edit it and get more opinions then refilm some bits and edit it again, and then you might end up with something worthwhile. Just putting the first thing you think of onto film DOES NOT WORK.
Wow it's weird that people are scoffing at the fact that it was about blind chicks. Guess what, blind people are people too, and yes, they get horny just like everyone else. It's not like he was trying to rape them. They wanted it. Plus they were hot. Sheesh. I thought it was funny. And it would have also been funny if they were not blind but did some of those same things, although admittedly less funny because then they would have just been stupid.
And yeah, Summer Overture plus the steady cam was a nice Requiem reference. But instead of heroin dealers, it was blind chicks.
exploding_girl and some of the others are right: this was alright up until the shitty overdone RfaD Lux Aeterna came on. Then it just devolved into brainless internet shit.
The Requiem for A Dream joke at the end made my life.
ReplyThis was made watchable cus of the chicks.
ReplyNice choice of song
ReplyMy only two questions are why are there so many pictures hanging up in a house full of blind chicks? And on a similar note why are all the lights on?

Get off of Cracked, please. It's not offensive- it's just dumb. The gags were lame and the end was just... no.

ReplyThis was funny only because the guy was so oblivious. And how the video kinda parodied some of the ol' porn cliches.
Replywhat is that song at the end called?
