To everyone saying how they had to actually watch stuff like this, and anyone who isn't from the 80s wouldn't get it... we do get it, they do the same stuff to us now, only with different videos. They still use bad rapping, child stereotypes, and they still look like they were trying their hardest not to be racist when casting the video.
It's all the same. I don't think there will ever be a day when they stop showing kids creepy videos.
You have to understand Kersplatt, that most of these posters are kids, and have no fucking idea what this video parodies, due to lack of reference point. Kinda like some uninformed guys our age seeing something making fun of emo's. Just makes us scratch our heads. For reference to the tykes, this shit is funny because we lived through that era, and back then, this "craptacular" type of stuff filled the airwaves. It's funny cause it makes us cringe when we think that, at one time, people took this very seriously.
WEAL t H Y me E T U P. c 0m----- ? It is really a funny and interesting place to date attractive girls or hot guys. Many hottie videos and photos at this site, you can enjoy latest interesting videos or talk about hot topic with other friends. I've met many thoughtful singles who were trying to find true love.
The thing it's parodying and referencing is right there. You're staring at it. It's a genuine bike safety film from the '80s with those three camp counselors spliced in to mock it. Tadaa.
I'm with the people who don't get the reference. For a while, I thought it actually was a real film from the '80s. This is the first time a cracked.com video has been too clever for me.
Wait, was this supposed to be a parody of something? You probably should have mentioned that, because without knowing the source material it just seems completely pointless. I had to actually read the comments to find out what the hell it was I just watched.
Amazing, all you kids with your dang playstations and ipods don't know how horrible life was in the early 90's (or late 80's) were every lesson was learned through bad rapping and child stereotypes.

ReplyEven though I had no idea what it was parodying the idea of telling people is stupid, besides does it matter?
ReplyI found rather funny regardless

Replythe camp "counselor" looks like he could be the love child of Kevin Dillon and Gerardo.... On second thought, is that Gerardo?
