The topic of this PS contest probably wasn't the best. Many of these are quite well done and impressive, but none of them are funny. It's more a "spot the video game character" than anything related to comedy. I think the entrants are just too limited in what they can do, as is evident in the fact that nearly all of these entries are simply a screenshot from one game with a character from another one pasted in.

16 is supposed to be a Big Daddy. The actual image was 480 pixels across and took up more than the whole screen (which was part of what I thought made it interesting). They shrinked it to make it fit I guess, and as a result it's difficult to see that it's a Big Daddy at the bottom

Plan B

Thanks for the support for #7, I had a blast making it, nice to see other people appreciate the humor. There was a recurring opinion in the discussion thread that too many entries conform to the "violent character in non-violent game" idea (or the other way around). Maybe true, but it still leads to a ton of comedic possibilities. Congratulations to the ones who managed to go beyond that - #2 and #3 are good examples.

@soulcaliburgirl, I am aware of that feature in the game, but how does link make it funier then putting any other character in there, the author just found a picture of link looking freaked out, you could put sonic, mario or anyone else and it would have no bearing or change the meaning of it, that is why it sucks

@D_Mars: In that game, the naked cowboy rapes an Indian tied to a post (i'm not kidding). Link looks freaked out because he fears getting raped by the naked cowboy.

I have to go with 11 and 5. People seem to like 8, I know both games(nude cowboy I have just seen around online), but what makes joining them funny? Sure its a picture of link looking freaked out as he stares at the naked cowboy, but it isn't clever nor does it have any extra meaning that I can see(is the nude cowboy's name Zelda?). Like a battle toad in frogger, or a pac-man ghost in ghost busters. Or doing oppisites like a cute fluffy dog in what looks to be RE but maybe HoD, I might be missing something(which does happen) but if I am not then people who like 8 are basically retards for liking it

I guess that for those who do, it must be hilarious. I'd say it was the main problem with most of this contest. Many, many private jokes that would have an afficionado rolling on the floor, but will just get a general "meh" from all the others.

It always cracks me up how worked up everyone gets over the rating spots the user based entries get. No matter what you order you put them in some other douche bag is going to say your the douche bag for not putting them in the order they think they should be in. Why don't you just shut the hell up and give credit to users that actually didn't something besides sit around and bitch. All were well done and funny no matter what order.

How the fuck was #20 not #1? Ask anyone who's ever played Duck Hunt, and every one of them wants to shoot that fucking dog. #1 sucked ass. Huge ass. It sucked 50 Cent: Bulletproof levels of ass.
