Well, in video games you typically have a pack of some sort that holds everything you pick up. As you go through the game, you often pick up far more than any real pack could hold. #1 is makeing fun of that.

#3, you see normally the dog chases the cat, just as normally the ghost chase pac-man. This changes when you get the "Power-Up" where the ghost turns blue and as pacman you chase them down.
