It's funny because even a fair teacher wouldn't give full credit for #7 - There is no support for the answer, which is what you're being graded on, but a lot of what the answer is, which is what the explicitly are not grading on.
ReplyAnyone else notice that "papyrus" is spelled wrong in #1?
Reply#7 I remember a kid getting in a screaming fight with my english teacher over their interpretations of Robert Frost's "Mending Wall".They were STILL arguing at the beginning of the next class!
Reply#5 The Godfathers-Birth,school,work,death. 1987
Reply#5 The Godfathers-Birth,School,work,Death.
ReplyI could swear #7 is the way my teacher grades my papers...
Replylmao I loved #11 and get the overall joke, but surprisingly it's not the case
ReplyNumber 7 (That's not my interpretation) was true for me way too many times.
Reply:(
This was a great one! But 8... really? People actually believe that? Our school systems aren't the best, but come on...
ReplyYou're right, but all of those problems do exist. They just don't all occur in the same place at the same time.
OK most of these were pretty clever, but only numbers 12 and 2 made me laugh. As I had an actual pedophile teacher in high school (convicted too, he was) and went to the #1 hipster college in the nation, it's the humor of recognition.
ReplyI wish they'd stop posting graphics too small for the relevant text to be read. I have 20/20 vision ffs, and I get a headache squinting to read this s**t that turns out to not even be funny.
ReplyYour quality of vision doesn't matter, the text just sucks.
#7: single truest thing ever crudely photoshopped. The really amazing thing is that older people, people who went to University, will act surprised and dismayed when you tell them this is the case. Shit, don't you remember that? Nothing has changed.
Reply#7 is sooooo true....my mom is taking classes to get her Masters degree....and last semester a teacher asked "what is your opinion on what the author said"...she wrote HER OPINION.....and he said that wasnt the thoughts he had on it,....so he marked it wrong...like wtf
Replysomething like that actually happened to me Junior year while writing an essay for English class
Often times it depends on how far off your opinion is. Problem is, interpretation is not the same thing as opinion and sometimes the student knows this whilst the instructor does not.
lol i love how #16 is about WWII, you see whermacht and 6th army.
ReplyHaha, I love how you actually read what's on the paper...
I still can't believe someone didn't submit a photo of a textbook titled "Stuff You'll Never Use."
ReplyThey did...it's this whole contest....
Number #10 referenced that.
I just remembered everything I hated about college. Man, summer can really take a toll on your memory.
ReplyOh, 7 was awesome too.
Reply16 was great.
ReplySO MANY of these were more deserving than #1.
Reply#19 was genius! It should have totally won.
